HISTORY OF QC PLASTICS
QC Plastics was founded by brothers Arnold and Lawrence Johnson in 1972. The custom plastics molding company first operated from their family garage in Independence, IA. Originally named “Quality Craft Corp”, the business outgrew its facility three times before settling in its current location in 2002.
In 1998, Quality Craft Corp acquired the A.E. Miller line of replacement Jeep parts and began manufacturing items (such as gloveboxes, fender extensions, heater plenums, and defroster ducts) alongside custom thermoforming and plastic machining projects.
David and Samantha Hardy purchased the company in 2016 with the goals of providing superior customer experiences and quality products for their customers. They renamed the business “QC Plastics” to better reflect its products and services.
With over 50 years of experience in plastic forming and machining, QC Plastics continues to exceed customer expectations. Contact QC Plastics today to request a quote on thermoforming or plastic CNC machining.
